Veníte, servi, súpplices,
et mente et ore extóllite
dignis beátum láudibus
nomen Dei cum cántico.
Hoc namque tempus illud est,
quo sæculórum iúdicem
iniústa morti trádidit
mortálium senténtia.
Et nos amóre débito,
timóre iusto súbditi,
advérsus omnes ímpetus

Unum rogémus et Patrem

Lord God and Maker of all things,
Creation is upheld by you.
While all must change and know decay,
You are unchanging, always new.
You are man’s solace and his shield,
His Rock secure on which to build.
You are the spirit’s tranquil home,
In you alone is hope fulfilled.
To God the Father and the Son
And Holy Spirit render praise:
Blest Trinity, from age to age
The strength of all our living days.

The psalms of the day are shown here. If you are reciting more than one daytime hour (Terce, Sext, None) today, use the psalms of the day at one hour and the complementary psalms at the others.
Ps 118:17-24
| Psalm 118(119): 17-24Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.
Be good to your servant, and I shall live
and keep to your teachings.
Uncover my eyes
and I shall see the wonders of your law.
My home is on the earth
but do not hide your commands from me.
My soul is weary with longing,
day and night, for your decrees.
You have rebuked the proud, they are accursed
because they turn from your commands.
Save me from scorn and contempt,
for I have kept your decrees.
Princes enthroned may speak against me,
but your servant will still follow your judgements.
For your decrees are my delight,
and your statutes are my counsellors.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

| Psalm 24 (25)

Ps 24:12-2212Quis est homo, qui timet Dóminum?*
Docébit eum viam, quam éligat.
13Anima eius in bonis demorábitur,*
et semen eius hereditábit terram.
14Familiáriter aget Dóminus cum timéntibus eum,*
ut testaméntum suum maniféstet illis.
15Oculi mei semper ad Dóminum,*
quóniam ipse evéllet de láqueo pedes meos.
16Réspice in me et miserére mei,*
quia únicus et pauper sum ego.
17Diláta angústias cordis mei*
et de necessitátibus meis érue me.
18Vide humilitátem meam et labórem meum*
et dimítte univérsa delícta mea.
19Réspice inimícos meos, quóniam multiplicáti sunt,*
et ódio crudéli odérunt me.
20Custódi ánimam meam et érue me;*
non erubéscam, quóniam sperávi in te.
21Innocéntia et ǽquitas custódiant me,*
quia sustínui te.
22Líbera, Deus, Israel*
ex ómnibus tribulatiónibus suis.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
Allelúia, allelúia, allelúia.
| Psalm 24 (25)Who is the man who fears the Lord?
The Lord will teach him the path to choose.
His soul will live in prosperity:
his children will inherit the land.
The Lord is close to those who fear him
in fulfilment of his covenant.
My eyes are turned to the Lord
for he frees my feet from the snare.
Look down on me and take pity,
for I am alone and a pauper.
Loosen the bonds of my heart,
rescue me from my need.
See my lowliness, see how I labour,
and forgive all my sins.
See my enemies, how many they are,
and the hatred they have for me.
Guard my life and rescue me:
I will not be ashamed, for I hope in you.
May innocence and justice guard me,
since my hope is in you.
O God, free Israel
from all its troubles.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Alleluia. Alleluia. Alleluia.

God saved us by means of the cleansing water of rebirth and by renewing us with the Holy Spirit which he has so generously poured over us through Jesus Christ our saviour. He did this so that we should be justified by his grace, to become heirs looking forward to inheriting eternal life.

Lord God,

May we never fail to persevere
in the holiness that comes from faith.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
