Windows Defender is written and controlled by Microsoft. Sometimes it appears when you try to install Universalis; sometimes it does not. These instructions explain what to do if it does appear.
Windows Defender SmartScreen is a feature which Microsoft say protects you against suspicious software. The first screen it displays can look quite alarming:
In fact all Windows Defender is really doing is counting how many other people have installed the software! Since Universalis is not used by millions of people, Windows Defender deduces that it is “risky”.
Click on the "More info" link at the bottom of the message.
The message will change, to look like this:
Check that the “Publisher” shown on your screen really is Universalis Publishing Limited, and press Run anyway.
Next, continue with the installation: Windows will ask you to confirm that you want to run the installation program.
