Remembrance cards

The Remembrance Cards feature mentioned in the podcast is fully described here for people who use Universalis on the iPhone or iPad.

The reason we have been able to do the Remembrance Cards on the iPhone and iPad but not yet on Android is that iPhone and iPad apps have access to Apple’s iCloud system, which keeps your data safe and puts them onto all your devices, without anyone having access to your data and without you needing any user name or password.

This cannot happen with Google and Android.

We are looking at ways round the problem, for instance by getting access to whatever contacts system you already have on your Android device; but it will not be fast and it will not be easy.

Some alternative ways of keeping track

Most contacts apps allow you to specify dates of anniversaries, which they will remind you of when the time comes.

Alternatively you can set up a repeating calendar event for each person you want to remember.

Daily Books

Dom Aelred Watkin’s book Resurrection is Now is available as a Daily Book in Universalis. For full details of what Daily Books are and how they work, go to this page.
