Dom Henry Wansbrough’s commentaries

In the apps on iPhone/iPad and Android, tap the cog-wheel on the right-hand side of the toolbar to bring up the Settings screen, then find the “Commentaries” switch in the Readings at Mass section of that screen.

On the Mac, use Universalis > Preferences > Mass. On Windows, use Tools > Options.

Lectio Divina book

Pathways to Lectio Divina: Methods from The Weave of Manquehue Prayer, by Dom Leo Maidlow-Davis and Cristóbal Valdés (2001). ISBN 9798550020654. Read about it online, by all means; but if you buy it, get it from a real bookshop. They deserve our support.

Saint Thomas Aquinas

Saint Thomas Aquinas, by G.K. Chesterton (1933). This goes straight to the heart of St Thomas, without any heavyweight theology at all. The great theologian Etienne Gilson said, “Chesterton makes one despair. I have been studying St. Thomas all my life and I could never have written such a book.” This book is available free online, and is often reprinted.
