Podcast notes

Saint Francis of Assisi

G.K. Chesterton

G.K. Chesterton’s book is available as a Daily Book in all the Universalis apps and programs. You can read about the Daily Books feature here.

The Quaritch catalogue

The bookseller Bernard Quaritch’s list “Franciscans: the Legacy of St Francis” has just been issued, to mark the 800th anniversary of his death. It is not so much a book catalogue – even though it lists books for sale – rather, it is a richly illustrated education in Franciscan (and therefore world) history. It is well worth reading. Here is a link to it. You can read it online, or download it and read it slowly and thoroughly.

Newman’s books

Here are the books I mentioned in the podcast. The links are to Project Gutenberg, which provides free e-books for download and also lets you read a book in your browser.
