Lamentation of the people in the time of famine and war
We know our offences, Lord; we have sinned against you.

The Messiah and his forerunner
Christ will be glorified in my body, whether by my life or by my death. Life to me, of course, is Christ, but then death would bring me something more.
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,

as he promised through the mouth of the holy ones,
