Danish language

Universalis can give you the Hours and the Mass in Danish as well as English.

Liturgy of the Hours

All the Danish-language texts are freely available. You simply have to select them in the settings.

iPhone, iPad, Android: In the Universalis app, go to the Settings screen from the cogwheel on the right-hand side of the toolbar. In the “Liturgy of the Hours” section of the Settings screen, tap on “Extra language” and a menu will appear. Choose either “English and Danish” or “Danish only”.

Windows: In the Universalis program, use the command Tools > Options and then, in the “Liturgy of the Hours” box, click on the list labelled “Language”.

Mac: In the Universalis program, use the command Universalis > Preferences, go to the tab labelled Translations, and then click on the list labelled “Liturgy of the Hours”.

Readings at Mass, and Mass Today

The Readings at Mass page contains the readings, psalm and Gospel, plus (optionally) the day’s prayers and antiphons. The Mass Today page contains all this, and also the whole Order of Mass.

The Danish-language texts are available for purchase within the Universalis apps. At the time this page was written, the price was approximately DKK 189,00. You will always be shown the exact price before you are asked to make payment.

iPhone, iPad, Android: In the Universalis app, go to the Settings screen from the cogwheel on the right-hand side of the toolbar. In the “Order of Mass” section of the Settings screen, tap on “Extra language” and a menu will appear. Choose either “Danish and English” or “Danish only”. After this, when you look at the Readings at Mass or Mass Today page, you will see a grey box inviting you to purchase the Danish texts. Tap that box and follow the instructions.

Mac and Windows: The Danish-language texts are not available.
