O God, come to our aid.
O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen. Alleluia.

Rerum, Deus, tenax vigor,
immótus in te pérmanens,
lucis diúrnæ témpora
succéssibus detérminans,
Largíre clarum véspere,
quo vita numquam décidat,
sed præmium mortis sacræ
perénnis instet glória.
Præsta, Pater piíssime,
Patríque compar Unice,
cum Spíritu Paráclito
regnans per omne sæculum. Amen.

Eternal Father, loving God,
Who made us from the dust of earth,
Transform us by the Spirit’s grace,
Give value to our little worth.
Prepare us for that day of days
When Christ from heaven will come with might
To call us out of dust again,
Our bodies glorified in light.
O Godhead, here untouched, unseen,
All things created bear your trace;
The seed of glory sown in man
Will flower when we see your face.

Ibant apóstoli gaudéntes a conspéctu concílii quóniam digni hábiti sunt pro nómine contuméliam pati; et omni die in templo et circa domos non cessábant docéntes et evangelizántes Christum, Iesum.
|
The apostles left the presence of the Sanhedrin glad to have had the honour of suffering humiliation for the sake of the name. They preached every day both in the Temple and in private houses, and their proclamation of the Good News of Christ Jesus was never interrupted.
|
℣. Gaudéte et exsultáte, dicit Dóminus.
℟. Quia nómina vestra scripta sunt in cælis.
| ℣. Rejoice and be glad,
℟. Because your names are written in heaven.
|
Oremus.
Amen.
| Let us pray.
O God in your providence,
you have willed that the Apostle Saint Paul should see shipwreck on our shores
and stay amongst us to preach the faith.
We earnestly pray that we never cease to give thanks for all he did
and for the love he has shown for us.
May we always keep unblemished the teaching he has given us
through word and deed.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
|
Benedicámus Dómino.
– Deo grátias.
| Let us praise the Lord.
– Thanks be to God.
