Ave, maris stella,
Dei mater alma,
atque semper virgo,
felix cæli porta.
Sumens illud «Ave»
Gabriélis ore,
funda nos in pace,
mutans Evæ nomen.
Solve vincla reis,
profer lumen cæcis,
mala nostra pelle,
bona cuncta posce.
Monstra te esse matrem,
sumat per te precem
qui pro nobis natus
tulit esse tuus.
Virgo singuláris,
inter omnes mitis,
nos culpis solútos
mites fac et castos.
Vitam præsta puram,
iter para tutum,
ut vidéntes Iesum
semper collætémur.
Sit laus Deo Patri,
summo Christo decus,
Spirítui Sancto
honor, tribus unus. Amen.

Hail, Queen of the heavens, hail Mistress of earth;
Hail, Virgin most pure of immaculate birth:
Clear star of the morning in beauty enshrined;
O Lady, make speed to the help of mankind.
Thee God in the depth of eternity chose,
And formed thee all fair as his glorious spouse,
And called thee his own Word’s true Mother to be
By whom he created the earth, sky, and sea.
Hail, Mother most pure, hail, Virgin renowned,
Hail, Queen with the stars as a diadem crowned;
Above all the angels in glory untold,
Set next to the King in a vesture of gold.
These praises and prayers we lay at thy feet,
O Virgin of virgins, O Mary most sweet:
Be thou our true guide through this pilgrimage here,
And stand by our side when our death draweth near.

A hymn of adorationYour ways are just and true, King of all the ages.
Great and wonderful are your deeds,
O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways,
O King of the ages!
Who shall not fear and glorify your name, O Lord?
For you alone are holy.
All nations shall come and worship you,
for your judgements have been revealed.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Your ways are just and true, King of all the ages.

Ubi venit plenitúdo témporis, misit Deus Fílium suum, factum ex mulíere, factum sub lege, ut eos, qui sub lege erant, redímeret, ut adoptiónem filiórum reciperémus.
|
When the appointed time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born a subject of the Law, to redeem the subjects of the Law and to enable us to be adopted as sons.
|
℣. Ave, María, grátia plena;* Dóminus tecum. Ave.
℟. Benedícta tu in muliéribus et benedíctus fructus ventris tui.* Dóminus tecum. Glória Patri. Ave.

Exsultatio animæ in DominoBeáta es, María, quæ credidísti: perficiéntur in te quæ dicta sunt tibi a Dómino.
Magníficat*
ánima mea Dóminum,
et exsultávit spíritus meus*
in Deo salvatóre meo,
dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui;
depósuit poténtes de sede*
et exaltávit húmiles;
esuriéntes implévit bonis*
et dívites dimísit inánes.
Suscépit Israel púerum suum,*
recordátus misericórdiæ,
sicut locútus est ad patres nostros,*
Abraham et sémini eius in sǽcula.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
Beáta es, María, quæ credidísti: perficiéntur in te quæ dicta sunt tibi a Dómino.

My soul rejoices in the LordBlessed are you, Mary, because you believed that all those things which were said to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God, my salvation.
For he has shown me such favour –
me, his lowly handmaiden.
Now all generations will call me blessed,
because the mighty one has done great things for me.
His name is holy,
his mercy lasts for generation after generation
for those who revere him.
He has put forth his strength:
he has scattered the proud and conceited,
torn princes from their thrones;
but lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
he has remembered his mercy as he promised to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Blessed are you, Mary, because you believed that all those things which were said to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.

God sent us the Blessed Virgin Mary to console us in our sorrow and to lead us to himself. Let us confidently pray:
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.
You made Mary the gate through which the true Light shone over the earth,
by the light of her Son may the Church seek justice for the oppressed and peace for all people.
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.
The image of the Mother of your Son was imprinted on the garment of the Indian Juan Diego with the features of his race,
imprint within us Mary’s virtues and her love for the poor and the defenseless.
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.
Through Mary you changed barren Tepeyac into a fragrant garden of flowers,
through her transform us, that we may grow fruitfully as true Christians.
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.
In Juan Diego you give us an example of simplicity and humility,
teach us constancy in suffering and fidelity to the Gospel.
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.
You made the Virgin Mary the protector of all who call upon her and trust in her,
may the light of her consolation shine on those who have departed from this life.
– Grant us her love, help, and protection.

Pater noster, qui es in cælis:
sanctificétur nomen tuum;
advéniat regnum tuum;
fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidiánum da nobis hódie;
et dimítte nobis débita nostra,
sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris;
et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem;
sed líbera nos a malo.
| Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Deus, Pater misericordiárum, qui sub Sanctíssimæ Matris Fílii tui singulári patrocínio plebem tuam constituísti, tríbue cunctis, qui Beátam Vírginem Guadalupénsem ínvocant, ut, alacrióri fide, populórum progressiónem in viis iustítiæ quǽreant et pacis.
Per Dóminum nostrum Iesum Christum, Fílium tuum,
qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus,
per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
| God of power and mercy,
you blessed the Americas at Tepeyac
with the presence of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe.
May her prayers help all men and women
to accept each other as brothers and sisters.
Through your justice present in our hearts,
may your peace reign in our world.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
|
Dóminus nos benedícat, et ab omni malo deféndat, et ad vitam perdúcat ætérnam.
Amen.
| The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen.
