Latest update: 23-Sep-2024. Database version: 3723 23-Sep-2024.
The program will run on Windows XP and above, including Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. It will run on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.
The ilustrations are of Windows 10 and the Microsoft Edge browser, but you can use any version of Windows and any web browser. The details of installation will vary slightly with different browsers and different versions of Windows, but the principles will be the same.
Microsoft Edge will display a grey bar at the bottom of its window, asking you what you want to do with the download:
Next to this message there will be three buttons: Run, Save, and Cancel. Press Run.
Sometimes Windows Defender will pop up at this point, with a big blue message saying WINDOWS PROTECTED YOUR PC. If this happens, please see this page for instructions so that you can persuade Windows Defender to allow you to install your software.
Now Windows itself asks you whether you want to run the installer:
At the bottom of this message there are buttons marked Yes and No. Press Yes.
You are nearly there! The Universalis installer opens and shows you this screen:
NOTE: In some cases Microsoft will hide the Universalis installer behind the web browser, so that you can’t see it or use it. If this happens to you, try minimising the browser and you will see our installer appear.
Read the licence agreement, click on Yes, I agree, and the “Next” button will become active. Press Next.
You now have the Universalis program installed on your computer.
Here are operating instructions.
To start with, the program works as a free one-month trial version.
Entering a registration code will make the Universalis program into a full, unrestricted version.
