All hail the power of Jesus’ name;
Let Angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem
To crown him Lord of all.
Crown him, ye Martyrs of your God,
Who from his altar call;
Praise him whose way of pain ye trod,
And crown him Lord of all.
Hail him, ye heirs of David’s line,
Whom David Lord did call;
The God Incarnate, Man Divine,
And crown him Lord of all.
Let every tribe and every tongue
To him their hearts enthral,
Lift high the universal song,
And crown him Lord of all.

The song of the redeemedWorthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive glory and honour.
You are worthy, our Lord and our God,
to receive glory and honour and power;
for you made all things,
and it is by your will that they exist and were created.
You are worthy, Lord,
to receive the book and open its seals,
for you were killed,
and with your blood you have ransomed people
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
and made them rulers and priests for God;
and they will rule over the earth.
The Lamb is worthy, who was killed,
to receive power and riches and wisdom,
strength and honour, glory and blessing.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive glory and honour.

|
Beloved, if you can have some share in the sufferings of Christ, be glad, because you will enjoy a much greater gladness when his glory is revealed. It is a blessing for you when they insult you for bearing the name of Christ, because it means that you have the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God resting on you.

℣. Probásti nos, Deus,* Et eduxísti nos in refrigérium. Probásti.
℟. Igne nos examinásti, sicut examinátur argéntum.* Et eduxísti nos in refrigérium. Glória Patri. Probásti.

You have tested us, God, and you have brought us out into freedom again.
– You have tested us, God, and you have brought us out into freedom again.
You have refined us like silver.
– You have tested us, God, and you have brought us out into freedom again.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
– You have tested us, God, and you have brought us out into freedom again.

Exsultatio animæ in DominoIn cæléstibus regnis sanctórum habitátio est et in ætérnum réquies eórum.
Magníficat*
ánima mea Dóminum,
et exsultávit spíritus meus*
in Deo salvatóre meo,
dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui;
depósuit poténtes de sede*
et exaltávit húmiles;
esuriéntes implévit bonis*
et dívites dimísit inánes.
Suscépit Israel púerum suum,*
recordátus misericórdiæ,
sicut locútus est ad patres nostros,*
Abraham et sémini eius in sǽcula.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
In cæléstibus regnis sanctórum habitátio est et in ætérnum réquies eórum.

My soul rejoices in the LordThe saints will dwell in the kingdom of heaven; their peace will last for ever.
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God, my salvation.
For he has shown me such favour –
me, his lowly handmaiden.
Now all generations will call me blessed,
because the mighty one has done great things for me.
His name is holy,
his mercy lasts for generation after generation
for those who revere him.
He has put forth his strength:
he has scattered the proud and conceited,
torn princes from their thrones;
but lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel,
he has remembered his mercy as he promised to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
The saints will dwell in the kingdom of heaven; their peace will last for ever.

Hac hora, qua Rex mártyrum vitam suam in cena óbtulit et in cruce depósuit, grátias agámus illi, dicéntes:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.
Te, Dómine, celebrámus, quia in finem dilexísti nos, salvátor noster, omnis martýrii fons et exémplum:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.
Quia omnes peccatóres pæniténtes in prǽmium vitæ vocásti:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.
Quia sánguinem novi et ætérni testaménti, in remissiónem peccatórum effúsum, hódie obtúlimus:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.
Quia hac die per grátiam tuam in fide perseverávimus:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.
Quia tuæ morti multos fratres hódie sociásti:
– Te, Dómine, celebrámus.

Let us give thanks to the king of martyrs, for this is the hour when he offered himself in the last supper and laid down his life on the cross.
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.
We praise you, Christ our Saviour, example and strength of the martyrs, because you have loved us to the end;
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.
Because you have promised repentant sinners the reward of eternal life,
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.
Because you have called the Church to offer the blood of the new and eternal covenant, the blood shed for the remission of sins,
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.
Because you have brought us to this day with the gift of faith intact,
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.
Because of the many brothers who today have come to share in your saving death,
– We praise you, Christ the Lord.

Pater noster, qui es in cælis:
sanctificétur nomen tuum;
advéniat regnum tuum;
fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidiánum da nobis hódie;
et dimítte nobis débita nostra,
sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris;
et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem;
sed líbera nos a malo.
| Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
|
Excita, quǽsumus, Dómine, in Ecclésia tua Spíritum, quo replétus beátus Iósaphat ánimam suam pro óvibus pósuit, ut, eo intercedénte, nos quoque eódem Spíritu roboráti, ánimam nostram pro frátribus pónere non vereámur.
Per Dóminum nostrum Iesum Christum, Fílium tuum,
qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus,
per ómnia sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
| Lord, filled with your Holy Spirit
Saint Josaphat laid down his life for his flock.
Renew that Spirit in your Church,
strengthen our hearts with your grace,
so that, with the help of his prayers,
we may be ready to lay down our lives for our brethren.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
|
Dóminus nos benedícat, et ab omni malo deféndat, et ad vitam perdúcat ætérnam.
Amen.
| The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen.
