They filled me with joy when they said,
“We will go to the house of the Lord.”
Now our feet are standing
within your gates, Jerusalem.

whole and self-contained:

the witness of Israel,
to praise the Lord’s name.
For there are the thrones of justice,
the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“Safety for those who care for you,

“Peace be upon you.”

My brethren, we urge you and appeal to you in the Lord Jesus to make more and more progress in the kind of life that you are meant to live: the life that God wants, as you learnt from us, and as you are already living it. We have been called by God to be holy, not to be immoral.
Create a pure heart in me, O God.
– Put a steadfast spirit into me.
O God, through your incarnate Word you miraculously reconcile the human race to yourself.
We ask you to grant that the whole Christian people
may hurry towards Easter with ready devotion and eager faith.
